She is the most attractive face that has appeared in Bollywood silver screen in the year 2006. Within a short span of eight months this neophyte has appeared in the lead roles in two major movies and about to sign contracts with many other multistarrer projects.
Born as the daughter of the emigrant Punjabi parents in London, Geeta Basra always dreamt of Bollywood stardom. She learnt to use the videocassette recorder and put a video in to watch films even before she began to walk. She first performed on stage, when she was only two years old. She is an ardent fan of Madhuri Dixit for many years and performing Madhuri numbers. Madhuri Dixit influenced Geeta Basra’s talent as an actress and dancer. Geeta Basra used to watch Madhuri’s movies from childhood and tried to imitate them. When Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hun was being made Geeta Basra was dying to play that role but; could not make her dream come true since she was still at Portsmouth, UK. Even then she used to be in her own world and imagine being an actress.
