Debutant director Vishal Inamdar movie “Breaking News”, is a bold film about the electronic media and a journalist who gets sucked into her profession. “‘Breaking News’ is basically about the electronic media and a TV journalist who is not really serious about her job until she gets into the crime beat which drastically changes her life and attitude towards work,” Inamdar was quoted as saying. Asked if it was related to sting operations. If the media is put to the right use, it does help society. “‘Breaking News’ is inspired by a story that I’d seen on TV though it’s not completely based on it. I believe the media can go to any extent to boost their TRP ratings. Having said that I also feel they’ve done a good job in the past. Actually, it has its pros and cons,” says Inamdar.
