Lara Dutta is an Indian actress and model. She appeared in many films and was crowned Miss Universe in 2000 after winning the Femina Miss India Universe title. Lara claimed a four year contract with cosmetic giant L’oreal after winning a model search tournament in India. She won the Femina Miss India Universe title, which qualified her to compete in the 2000 Miss Universe Pageant in Cyprus. The confident and beautiful Indian girl came, saw and conquered the spotlight on the Mediterranean Island. Lara became the second Indian woman to capture the Miss Universe title.
