The Gold Awards took place last night. Organised by Vikaas Kalantri, Pooja Ghai of White of Maverick Leaf Entertainment and Productions Anuj Saxena,this first international television awards was held at Mauritius, was a huge success. Zee being the channel sponsor it came as no surprise that most of the winners or for that matter the maximum nominations went to them. From best Hindi movie channel to best hindi entertainment channel to best director, fiction (Sapna Joshi, Teen Bahuraniya) to best show, fiction (Saat Phere) to best reality show (Sa Re Ga Ma Pa). Even Subhash Chandra won the lifetime achievement award for his outstanding contribution to the industry. It was all on the house.
Gaurav Kapoor and Chetan Hansraj’s tribute to the Big B was the show stealer. From khaike paan banaras wala to My name is Anthony gonjalves to Jumma Chumma de de, Bachcahn’s songs set the mood for the evening.
