Smitha is rightly considered a pop diva in Andhra after having been first spotted in Paadutha Theeyaga contest in ETV hosted S P Balasubrahmanyam. Though she was not a winner, her talent was obvious. And soon she made it as a pop singer — a rare genre in Telugu. Smitha’s first album was the hit ‘Hai Rabba’.
