Seems like Shilpa Shetty can’t stay away from controversies for long. After the racial discrimination controversy on the reality show Big Brother in UK, Shilpa got stuck again in another controversy, this time in Delhi. During an AIDS awareness programme organized in Delhi for truck drivers, Hollywood actor Richard Gere kissed Shilpa Shetty on her cheek while entertaining the masses doing a dance number. Gere caught in the moment thought it would be fun for the audiences but incident gave rise to a big controversy with political parties saying that such behaviour is an attack on India’s cultural ethos.
The issue saw some scary after effects when effigies of Shilpa and Richard were burnt at many places across India. If that was not all, Shilpa Shetty’s shoot for her film Metro in New Mumbai was stalled when some protestors from some political party reached the sets and interrupted the shoot.
