Shilpa Shetty(Tulu:????? ??????) (born 8 June 1975) is an Indian film actress who appears in Bollywood films. Her sister is actress Shamita Shetty. She is one of the tallest actresses in India standing at 5′10″ tall.

Shilpa made her debut in the murder mystery, Baazigar (1993) with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The film was a great success. A 1994 film, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, was also a box office success. However, succeeding films — of which she made many — did less well at the box office. She won critical acclaim in 2004 with her performance as an AIDS victim in Phir Milenge. Her 2005 film Dus was a popular success. She has appeared with her sister in the 2005 film, Fareb.

She was featured in Mani Ratnam’s stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai. She has also featured in the hit television reality dance show in Sony Entertainment Television called ‘Jhalak Dikkhlaja.’ She has the best figure in Bollywood and is renowned for her impeccable dancing skills.

She has been nominated three times for “Best Actress” at the Filmfare awards. She has also appeared in the PETA India campaign ads.
