Student Of The Year is Karan Johar’s directorial debut of sorts – it’s his first film as director without usual suspect Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. The film is expected to release on October 19, 2012. It also stars newcomers Sidharth Malhotra and director David Dhawan’s son Varun.
