The latest model to join the Bollywood bandwagon is the younger sister of the versatile Padmini Kolhapure. Well versed in dramatics via a career in theatre, Tejaswini is all set to storm the big screen this year in her debut film. During a tete-a-tete with Smashits recently, the young actress comes across as a juxtaposition of sophistication and youth, carefree yet mature.

Strangely, despite having an actress for a sister and Shakti Kapoor for a brother-in-law, nobody expected Tejaswini to join films. ”I never showed any inclination. I never took part in elocution and drama contests. I was more into modeling. And you know how everyone thinks models are wooden and cannot act. In fact, now that I have been working on this film for quite some time, they are really surprised.”
