Young upcoming designers from the GenNext category of the LFW participated in a competition for a cash prize of Rs 1,00,000; the winner will also get to showcase his/ her collection at the next Fashion Week later in the year. Since skincare giant Lakme has just launched a revolutionary new range of beauty products, ‘Pure Defense’, to help women combat the effects of pollution, the theme for participating GenNext designers was clothing that represented the fight against pollution. Item hottie and Lakme spokesperson Yana Gupta compered at the showing and introduced both the designs and designers.
